The Quebec Child Benefit Program, also called the Quebec Family Allowance, is a government initiative designed to provide financial assistance to families in Quebec to help cover the costs of raising children.

Here are the 2024 benefit dates for the Quebec Family Allowance:

  • 3 January 2024
  • 2 April 2024
  • 2 July 2024
  • 1 October 2024

If you are entitled to receive the Quebec Family Allowance, you should receive the payment quarterly on the first business day of:

  • January for January, February and March;
  • April for April, May and June;
  • July for July, August and September;
  • October for October, November and December.

You can also request to have the payments made monthly by filing a Change in Frequency of Family Allowance Payment form.

The payment supplement for the purchase of school supplies is made once per year, in July.
