Do you use an American Express (Amex) credit card?

If so, you’re probably aware of the AMEX Membership Rewards (MR) program, which allows you to collect points from your everyday spending on select Amex cards.

You can redeem your MR points for travel purchases, merchandise, statement credits and more.

There’s one other notable perk to earning MR points – you can transfer them to other loyalty programs.

Sometimes, it’s worthwhile to convert MR points to a transfer partner.

You’ll get access to a broader range of offers and may snag better redemption deals than if you use them for Amex-related rewards.

One of the most popular loyalty programs in Canada is Aeroplan.

Not surprisingly, it would be the preferred choice for Canadians wishing to make travel redemptions.

It offers an excellent travel-oriented rewards program that’s flexible and easy to use.
